Our History
The Cotopaxi Store was started in 1923 by Donald and Mattie Augustine. In 1956, their eldest daughter, Lois, and her husband, John Young, took over operations. Today, the Store is operated by Lois and John's daughter-in-law, Anne Langford.
Products
At the Cotopaxi Store, "we have almost everything in the center of everything". You can find groceries, bakery, fresh sandwiches, hamburgers, and breakfast from our deli/cafe, hardware, plumbing supplies, livestock feed, fishing tackle, hunting and fishing licenses, drycleaning services, firewood, propane, diesel and gasoline here! Cotopaxi is located along Hwy 50 and the Arkansas River in central Colorado, in the middle of Bighorn Sheep Canyon.
